PRESS RELEASE: Des Moines, WA Date: 28-November-2012 Cause leader, Jayne Cvetanoski, and petition signatories of Justice For Rosie a Newfoundland family dog shot 4 times and killed by City of Des Moines Washington police, is pleased to announce Update #5 post on the petition site alerting followers to the latest news concerning "Rosie's" case.
The lawsuit states that the police did not need to shoot and kill Rosie who was only attempting to run for cover and hide from everyone, not just the police who were tracking her down as if she were a hardened criminal. The Wrights, Rosie's legal owners, were out of town when all this high speed Run-and-Chase-and-Hide began on 07-November-2010. The officers were responding to a Loose Dog Report after Rosie apparently knocked down a fence to get out of her own enclosed backyard.
For more than an hour, these officers chased "Rosie" only to end up in a neighbor's yard where they proceeded to shoot, taser, and kill an innocent family dog. Witnesses state the officers cheered each other on each time their bullets managed to make their mark, finally killing this scared little dog.

SUMMARY: On Sunday, 07-November-2010, "Rosie" the 3 year old, 115lb. Newfoundland dog of Charles and Deirdre Wright, was hunted down, tasered and shot 4 times by police officers who cheered each other on for their 'marksmanship' as the final shot was executed using an M4 assault rifle. The officers conducted this execution inside a neighbors fenced backyard, letting the property owner's dog get loose in the process.
